Why I Care
I was never much of an athlete...
The first time I set foot in a gym, I had a panic attack and left before I even got past the lobby. In the years prior, my health had declined and my quality of life waned along with it. I had anxiety, depression, insomnia, GI issues, and chronic infections. I was tired of taking medications to manage my symptoms without truly healing the root cause. Determined to take back my health, I decided to figure it out on my own.
Between books, podcasts, and classes, I learned how to create a lifestyle that supported my mental and physical well-being. After years of studying and implementing different approaches, I came to understand that there are several key aspects to achieving and maintaining health: whole food primarily plant-based nutrition, functional fitness, sleep hygiene, a supportive community, reduced toxin exposure, and mindfulness. Over the years, I learned that being healthy isn't about perfection and there is truly no quick fix. Instead, I weaved healthy habits into my lifestyle, making small sustainable changes that had a huge impact long term.
A few years after my panic attack, I began working at the gym. I worked my way up from front desk attendant to personal trainer, fitness advisor, master trainer, and fitness manager, helping hundreds of individuals improve their health and wellness along the way.
In addition to my Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Coach certifications, I have a BA in Psychology and a minor in Kinesiology with an emphasis on health and wellness. I am a Masters of Science in Nutrition, Healthspan, and Longevity candidate at USC and am working toward becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner.
As time went on, I began to feel constrained by the walls of the gym. I knew I could offer a comprehensive approach to health that was more accessible and more affordable. That's why I created Wholistic Health & Fitness. In my signature one-on-one program, I will teach and empower you to optimize your health so you can live the life you deserve, without all the confusion and frustration that I experienced in my own health journey. Together, we will develop a clear path from your current state to your optimal health by building a lifestyle that is unique to you. And the best part is, you will start feeling the difference immediately! I will be there to support and guide you, every step of the way.
